Hand-Carved Frame for Solomon in All His Glory Was Not Arrayed Like One of These

This unlocated frame is known through a photograph in the Dawson Dawson-Watson family archives.

It was the original hand-carved frame exhibited with the painting Solomon in All His Glory… in the 1929 San Antonio Competitive Exhibition. The painting was awarded Hors de Concours in the Group 1 Texas Wildflowers category.

The inscription at the top of the frame reads:

“Solomon in All His Glory Was Not Arrayed Like One of These”
